GLADIATORS BEAT TIGERS BY SIX WICKETS

Bhairahawa Gladiators handed Chitwan Tigers the first defeat of the tournament as they secured 6 wickets win. Moreover, They are now the only unbeaten side in the tournament.

Chasing competitive 165, Gladiators' top 3 did the job with little sweat. While Pradeep Airee, popularly known as Boom Boom in Nepal, smashed 43-ball 72 with the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes, their overseas pros Tamim Iqbal and Upul Tharanga contributed handy 40 and 39.

On the last round-robin match, Tigers decided to experiment with their bench stregnth as Skipper Sompal Kami himself decided to take a rest before knockout matches. On the back of some vital contributions from overseas stars: Karim Janat (35), Mohammad Shahzad (32), and Seekkuge Prasanna (24), Chitwan managed to reach 164/8. All the Gladiators bowlers were amongst the wicket with Abinash Bohara picking 3/38.

However, despite the loss, Chitwan Tigers have finished top of the table whereas Gladiators still need victory over Kathmandu Kings XI to set up a (Qualifier-1) rematch against the Tigers.
