PATRIOTS BEAT WARRIORS BY 37 RUNS IN A HIGH SCORING MATCH

In a swashbuckling all round performance on field, defending champions Lalitpur Patriots have earnt their first victory of the current season of Bajaj Pulsar EPL. The Patriots batted the Biratnagar Warriors out of the game in the first innings. It was the Warriors’ third consecutive loss of the season.

Sandun Weerakkody hit his second consecutive fifty(73) of the season and Azmatullah Omarzai(58) contributed with fastest Bajaj Pulsar EPL fifty ever smashing seven sixes, as the rest of the Patriots’ batsmen batted around them to punch the score to 226/5.

The Warriors in their reply did well to reach 189/8 as Dilshan Munaweera top scored with 59. Azamatullah was brilliant with the ball too, as he scalped four of the Warriors’ wickets and bagged a well deserved Man of the Match award for his all-round performance.
