Powerful Pokhara Rhinos defeated Biratnagar Warriors by 7 wickets as they looked to finish top two. Rhinos jumped to no.2 in the points table easy victory. Thanks to their overseas star players who all stood up in reply to Warriors 172/5. With 4 consecutive losses, Warriors are now out of the tournament.
At the top, Former Proteas Opener Ricard Levi smashed 26-ball 47 to give a terrific start after young Rit Gautam departed early after Pratish GC had him in the second over. Sahan Arachchige, who took 1/4 in the first innings, accumulated 36-ball 43 whereas Sri Lankan all-rounder Gunaratne notches his first half-century in EPL in just 24 balls to seal the match.
On the back of Aasif Sheikh's brilliant 44 and some excellent cameos down the order, Biratnagar Warriors posted a competitive total (172/5). Skipper Karan KC smashed 9-ball 24 with the help of 3 sixes. Playing his first game, Sandeep Rajali struck 28 off 22 balls and Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza contributed 29 off 20 balls. Bikram Sob was the pick of the Warriors' bowler with 2/33 from his 4 overs.
