TIGERS BEAT RHINOS BY 9 WKTS

Chitwan Tigers continued their emphatic form in the Bajaj Pulsar EPL, as they made it three out of three in the current season beating Pokhara Rhinos this time around. They made easy work of the Rhinos and are solidly placed in the top of the points table.

Rhinos won the toss and elected to bat first, but the decision didn’t prove to be a good one as they were quickly reduced to 42/5 in the 9th over. A 56 run partnership between youngster Bibek Yadav(53) and Lankan star Asela Gunaratne(25) made sure that the Rhinos reached a somewhat respectable total of 123/7.

Chitwan Tigers lost Ishan Pandey for a duck in the second over of their innings, but that was the only hiccup they would suffer. Afghan veteran Mohammad Shahzad(63) and Bhim Sharki(54) made sure the Rhinos had no chance of a comeback and took their team to victory with 20 balls to spare.
